So is there an artist statement of some sort we can get? I'm not sure how to give you feedback to help you because I'm not exactly sure what your angle is.
Right now its pretty open because I have only made 4 photographs. But I am photographing the landscape (and possibly people) of the Deerfield River Valley.
Im becoming more interested in the subtleties of the surrounding landscape as well as the integration of people as they commute from all over the state to recreate in this area. The community is seasonal and while it is filled with tourists and kayakers in the summer, it becomes deserted in the winter and what remains are the small local communities that live along the river's banks. However, throughout the entire year depending on time of day, this change from populated to deserted can occur. I want to explore both of these fluctuations and show the duality of the environment, how it can be quiet and subtle as well as loud and boisterous.
Thank you for asking that, because it has helped me verbalize my thoughts and now am starting to understand which direction I want to head.
I think you're on the right track, as much as I can tell from the photos you've posted. I think the picture of the road lined by trees translates your idea pretty successfully. I'm interested in seeing pictures depicting the more populated times as they come along.
